A Brilliant Few Days of Progress, Connection and Innovation

We just wrapped up an incredible few days at Housing 2025 – and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited the MAXAM stand.

From housing professionals and operatives to senior decision-makers, the energy and determination across the event was inspiring. The momentum building around Awaab’s Law was stronger than ever – and it was clear that the sector is not only ready, but actively preparing to take meaningful steps towards healthier, safer homes.

A Clear Focus on Mould – and Practical Solutions

A major theme of the event was tackling damp and mould head-on – not just with policy, but with on-the-ground tools that make a difference. It was fantastic to see the level of interest in our PURA+ Mould Removal Kit, which continues to help organisations treat mould quickly and safely with no bleach and no harsh chemicals.

But this year, we were especially excited to launch our brand new MAXAM Quick Spray & Wipes – and the response was incredible. Designed for light-to-medium levels of mould, the wipes offer a completely new way of thinking about fast, effective mould response. Paired with our Quick Spray – which leaves a protective barrier to guard against mould regrowth – they’re ideal for reactive repairs and maintenance teams who want to get results without returning again and again to the same property.

New: MAXAM Healthy Homes Packs

We also introduced our new Healthy Homes Packs – a full boxed solution for operatives who need to treat mould while they’re on site. Each pack includes both stages of our treatment in refillable 5L jerry cans, PPE (masks, gloves and coveralls), and a pot of stain block to help with the visual side of mould cleaning.

This is all about making every visit count. As many teams know, gaining access to properties is often one of the biggest challenges in social housing repairs. With the Healthy Homes Pack, surveyors, plumbers, electricians and more can act straight away – whether it’s identifying and recording an issue, or treating what they see on the spot.

Awaab’s Law – Proactive and Prepared

The countdown to Awaab’s Law was felt throughout Housing 2025. Compared to previous years, there was a noticeable shift in awareness, urgency and action. We spoke to organisations who are already working to Awaab’s Law timeframes as part of their winter response strategy – and it’s clear that many are determined to be ready well before the regulations come into force.

With powerful speeches, panel discussions and shared insights, there was a strong sense of collective responsibility – and shared ambition – to do better for residents.
