RIGHT FIRST TIME - EVERY TIME

What Is Solar Reflective Film?

Solar reflective film is becoming increasingly popular as an option for all sorts of residential and commercial buildings, because it is a highly cost-effective way of reducing energy usage… helping you to drive down your energy bills and doing some good for the planet at the same time.

They can be used to help manage the temperature in your living and working environments, which means you can successfully reduce the need to use cooling and heating systems, which will reduce energy costs. Schools, factories and offices all use this kind of window film to ensure that buildings remain comfortable to be in – especially during the summer months.

The film can also prove particularly useful in reducing glare coming in through the windows, which anyone who works in an office will know can be quite problematic, making it hard to see computer screens. And they can also prove particularly beneficial in preventing furniture from fading in the sun, so there’s another reason to consider investing, as well.

Because you can retrofit these products to your existing windows, there’s no need to upgrade your window units – so you’ll save money there. And if you have single glazing in your property, you may find that window film can help to keep the heat in during the winter while controlling temperature during the summer.

Another point to bear in mind is that window film can also help increase privacy levels of a building, with the view blocked from both sides of the glass while still allowing natural light to come through. There are all sorts of stylish options out there on the market these days so you don’t have to worry about it conflicting with any interior design decisions you’ve made, either.

The solar films we have on offer here at Maxam are able to deflect up to 80 per cent of the heat from the sun and 85 per cent of its glare, which leads to cooler and more comfortable living and working environments. They also reflect heat back into spaces in cold weather, acting as good insulation, as well.

The films are very easy to fit so you don’t have to worry about a lot of downtime during installation – and you’re sure to be able to do it yourself, so perhaps a good project to consider while we’re all in lockdown and looking for activities to keep us busy and our mind off the news for a while.

We’ve been working in public sector property repair and maintenance since 1971 so you can rest assured that we know our stuff – and only have the very best products available to buy.
